Down A Creative Rabbit Hole
I have gotten pretty distracted from writing books by playing with my nature photos to create surreal images abstracted from little bits of nature.
Just hung 17 of them at Sand Creek Library for two months.
The Librarians were so very helpful and encouraging. They loved them! And how I arranged and hung them.
They feel that they will draw people in to come have a closer look, which is what I intended.
And then there is the one with the question written on it “How Many Creatures Do You See?” that I hope encourages children to look deep into that one and others.
When the put the chairs back in the space, they are going to face them towards the walls with these photos on them instead of out into the Library open space. Made me smile big.
This Library is on the east side of Colorado Springs on Academy Blvd at Chelton intersection. Far from Manitou Springs, so many people who I don’t know will be seeing them.
I do have some book related plans around this exhibit.
When I return from a trip to Carbondale for a Creative District Convene this week, I will take some of my books there to have them present to the main library in hopes of getting them into the local libraries.
