Journal for Hiking

Hiking Journal Available on Amazon NOW!

Recently I have been focused on creating journals.

These are not just “blank books” with pages to write in, but ones that start with information about what you will be journaling about and detailed information pages to fill in each day or relating to an adventure you experience.

Hiking is a favorite pastime of many people. There are many benefits to be found when you keep a hiking journal.

At the beginning of  “My Hiking Journal” there is information about what to be aware of before and on any hike you plan on taking.

The introductory pages will guide you through how to use each of the pages in this “My Hiking Journal”.

This personal hiking journal allows you to keep track of the places you visited with notes about why you would like to return there. There are set of pages to input detailed information about each hike so you can look back on each adventure in the future and return to any hike better prepared or share information about it with others for them to enjoy it also.

This journal has plenty of space to record lots of information about each hike. you can make notes about:

  • Hike Date
  • Trail Name
  • Trail Location
  • Hiking Companions
  • Directions to Trailhead
  • How much time it took to get there
  • Portalets in parking area?
  • Are dogs allowed?
  • Trail Length
  • Trail Difficulty
  • How far I hiked
  • Time hike started and ended
  • Time spent hiking
  • Stopped for lunch (describe the food you brought.)
  • Weather
  • What I liked best about the trail
  • What I liked least about the hike
  • Camped overnight (If you don’t camp, make up your own heading.)
  • What are my goals for this hike?
  • Insights I had while hiking
  • I saw these types of birds, creatures, flowers, insects,
  • I took photos of
  • Was the trail well-marked?
  • Were there many side trails?
  • More notes about the Trail

These types of notes are especially helpful when planning your next hike. And they can be very useful when planning what you might want to change if you want to return to a specific trail in the future. Or if you want to share your insights about the trail with a friend.

Writing in a hiking journal makes your time in Nature seem timeless and unforgettable.

After a series of hikes are some pages where you can write about how each hike inspired you. This allows you to take some moments to journal your feelings and not just the important details about the hike.

This space can be used to write a story or song or poem inspired by one of the hikes.

So if you are a “hiker” and like to journal check out “My Hiking Journal” and start journaling.
